For a 45° change of direction in copper pipework, this Copper Street Elbow 42 mm 45° (M/F) for soldering has one internal socket for 42 mm tube and one plain male end. The one-socket design avoids the need for an additional threaded coupling and keeps the assembly compact. Typical applications include water-supply, heat-distribution and HVAC systems. The connection is made by capillary soldering or brazing as required by the system; EN 1254-1:2021 provides the technical framework for this fitting class. Selection should be based on the tube outside diameter and the required M/F connection layout.
