The 10 mm 45° Copper Bend with two sockets is an equal-size capillary fitting for joining two sections of 10 mm copper tube. Both female solder cups accept tube of the same outside diameter and form a compact permanent joint. The fitting is commonly used in indoor copper pipework for water supply, heating and climate-control systems. Soft soldering or brazing can be used depending on operating conditions; EN 1254-1:2021 covers this type of copper fitting. The two-socket design is selected when both connected pipe ends are plain copper tube and no threaded components are needed.
