Copper Reducing Coupling 42x18 mm is a capillary fitting for joining different copper tube sizes on the same axis. The larger female socket is sized for 42 mm tube and the smaller socket for 18 mm tube, providing a direct soldered reduction without a separate threaded adaptor. This configuration is used in building-services water supply, heating and cooling systems. Soft soldering or brazing may be used according to service conditions; EN 1254-1:2021 covers this class of copper fittings. Both the larger and smaller outside diameters should be confirmed before installation.
