Copper Straight Coupling 16 mm is a capillary fitting for joining two sections of copper pipework of the same size on one axis. Its two female sockets are designed for 16 mm copper tube and provide a soldered connection without changing the diameter or adding threaded components. This fitting is used in water supply, heating, air-conditioning and cooling systems. Soft soldering or brazing may be used according to service conditions; EN 1254-1:2021 covers this class of copper fittings. When selecting the fitting, distinguish it from a reducing coupling with two different connection sizes.
