For a transition between 28 mm and 16 mm copper tubes, this Copper Reducing Coupling has two female solder sockets of different sizes. The concentric fitting reduces the pipework from 28 mm to 16 mm while keeping an all-soldered capillary connection without threaded components. It is used in water-supply, heat-distribution and HVAC systems. Installation is carried out by soft soldering or brazing according to project requirements; EN 1254-1:2021 covers capillary fittings of this type. The two tube outside diameters are the key selection parameters.
