Copper Reducing Coupling 76x54 mm M/F for soldering is a one-socket capillary reducer with one female socket and one plain male solder end. For this size, the plain male end is 76 mm and the female socket accepts 54 mm copper tube. The 76 mm male end fits directly into a compatible 76 mm solder socket, while the 54 mm tube enters the female socket of the reducer. Both connections are made by capillary soldering or brazing, and the fitting has no threaded connection. EN 1254-1:2021 covers this class of capillary fittings; the soldering method should be selected according to the system requirements. This M/F design is used in water supply, heating, air-conditioning and cooling pipework when a compact reduction is required without an intermediate tube section.
